As the leading executive search firm across the communications industry, Grace Blue understands that the success of great leadership involves diversity and migration of talent. That’s why we are proud to support Brixton Finishing School’s digital ‘accelerator’ programme. Together, we are committed to building and supporting diversity in the industry, sharing the belief that diverse teams drive competitive advantage, because different types of thinking mean new perspectives, fresh ideas and better creative work.
The Brixton Finishing School was founded by Ally Owen in 2018. Its mission is to drive diversity and social mobility by removing entry to the communications industry for under-represented groups, and those without a traditional academic background or relevant work experience. Their 12-week Accelerator course provides free full-time learning, giving a new breed of talent the opportunity to develop their creative and digital skills via real-world advertising experiences. Recent graduates have secured roles at organisations including, Clear Channel, Kinetic and Vizeum Global.
Brave have recently created four ads for the Brixton Finishing School that will be running online (Mail Online) and in out-of-home and press (including Stylist and Metro) across London for two weeks. Each features graduates from the 2018 school, giving an alternative twist on the conventions of traditional recruitment advertising.
